About KPV

KPV contains the amino-acid sequence Lys-Pro-Val and represents the C-terminal end of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone specifically positions 11 through 13 of the full alpha-MSH molecule. Despite lacking the melanocortin receptor binding domain of the parent peptide KPV retains anti-inflammatory activity through mechanisms that are independent of melanocortin receptor signaling.
